Youth Programs
Supporting our youth is crucial for our future generation. Your support ensures that young people in Tacoma- Seattle have access to education, mentorship, and empowerment opportunities. It is important for our BIPOC youth to develop social and emotional habits that are important for mental well-being. These include adopting healthy sleep patterns; exercising regularly; developing coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and learning to manage emotions.
- Life Coaching:
- One-on-one and group guidance for youth to set goals, build confidence, and navigate challenges.
- Cultural Awareness Studies
- Afro Enriched Studies: A Rich cultural awareness class that discusses the beautiful subcategories within the African Diaspora, (Gullah Geechee, Creole, Afro- Latino, and much more)
- Financial Literacy: A program designed to teach BIPOC communities about the importance of financial literacy, freedom, and much more.
- Youth Engagement & Mentorship:
- Grounds to Crowns: This is an afterschool program designed to support BIPOC young men with life skills, brotherhood, and lessons about overcoming unique challenges to BIPOC communities.
- Demure Queens: Motivational Program to support BIPOC young women to regulate healthy emotions, having discussions about mental health challenges/ overcoming them.
